The Dental Research Institute is the natural evolution of what began inside Hack Dental — a relentless pursuit of better.
Through the “Doctor Hack” Foundation, we have built a space where innovation, advanced technology, and purpose converge.

Our Research Institute
Every new chapter at Hack Dental begins in the same place: a challenge that refuses to be ignored.
In 2020, the Covid‑19 pandemic forced the entire medical world to rethink how care is delivered. Overnight, we faced uncertainty, stricter rules, and a new level of responsibility toward every patient and every member of our team. Instead of simply adapting, we chose to transform. We developed new safety and treatment protocols that not only protected our patients and staff, but also raised our standards of care to a higher level.
Out of this period, a new direction emerged. In 2020, we created a dedicated department of oral surgery, focused on innovative surgical solutions in dentistry. Step by step, our whole team grew with it. Each doctor followed the path that suited them best: dento‑alveolar surgery, orthodontics and dento‑facial orthopedics, periodontology, and more — reaching the highest professional rank in the Romanian medical system: medic primar (Senior Consultant).
But along the way, one truth became impossible to ignore: not all healing can be explained only by protocols, devices, or medical titles. For years, I had seen patients recover in ways that felt almost miraculous. I understood that medicine, as rigorous as it is, does not hold all answers. There is a greater Doctor of both body and soul — our Lord Jesus Christ.
This understanding grew in time, strengthened by every pilgrimage to the Garden of the Mother of God, Mount Athos, and through my studies at the Faculty of Theology. It shaped the way we see our work today: science and faith are not in competition — they stand side by side, serving the same human being in the dental chair.
To support both our patients and our team in this deeper way, and with the will of God and His Holy Mother, as well as with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nifon, we built a small chapel inside our clinic — a paraclis under the protection of the Theotokos and the Holy Unmercenary Physicians: Saint Antipas of Pergamum (protector of dental doctors), Saint Luke of Crimea (protector of surgeons), and all the Holy Unmercenaries. It is a quiet place where we can pray and ask for help for those we treat, uniting medical knowledge with spiritual care.
From here, the next step became clear.
In 2023–2024, through the Doctor Hack Foundation, we began developing the first Institute for Research in Dental Medicine in Romania. Our goal is simple but ambitious: to bring together clinical experience, scientific research, advanced technology, and a living faith in order to create real progress in dentistry — for the benefit of every patient who comes to us seeking healing.
This institute is not just a project. It is the continuation of a journey that started from a small rented space and now looks toward a future where medicine, innovation, and hope work together under one roof.
Our Mission
The Research Institute aims to promote genuine innovation and scientific progress in modern dentistry, with a focus on practical results in the clinic. Through an interdisciplinary approach and a dedicated team of specialists, we develop advanced medical solutions based on the latest scientific and technological discoveries — including artificial intelligence. With the support of the Doctor Hack Foundation, our goal is to build the first national institute of medical research in dentistry in Romania. We want to strengthen the scientific foundation of dental medicine, support continuous training of specialists, and actively contribute to integrating cutting‑edge technologies into everyday practice. Our mission is simple: transform research into real progress for patients and into excellence for the profession.
Our Pillars
Clinical Research. We design and evaluate protocols that start from real cases in our clinic — from surgery and implantology to orthodontics and periodontology — so that every study has a direct path back to the dental chair.
Digital Innovation & AI. We develop medical software and decision‑support tools that help doctors diagnose, plan and treat with greater precision. By using artificial intelligence and mathematical modelling, we aim to simplify complex procedures and increase the predictability of clinical outcomes.
Education & Training. The institute is also a place for teaching and mentorship. We share our findings through courses, workshops and collaborations, helping doctors and technicians integrate new technologies and evidence‑based protocols into their daily work.
The Doctor Hack Foundation
The Doctor Hack Foundation was created to bring together science, innovation and compassion for patients facing disabilities or complex medical conditions. Its mission is to offer real chances of treatment and recovery to people who often stand at the edge of access to modern medical services. In partnership with the Research Institute, the foundation supports medical and humanitarian projects, applied research programs and technological innovation. Together, we want to build a bridge between advanced medical science and the real needs of patients — bringing the medicine of the future closer to those who need it most. The Future of Dental Research
We are in a stage of significant expansion, marking the transition to a new level of performance and impact. In the coming years, the Research Institute will host projects in artificial intelligence, advanced imaging, treatment planning and outcome prediction — always with one clear benchmark: measurable benefit for the patient. From a small rented office to a clinic, from a clinic to a foundation, and now to a research institute, one thing has never changed: the conviction that you can start from almost nothing and still build something that serves people for generations.
